CHONG Hoi Ho, Johnson, graduate of the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) in Fashion Design Menswear and continued his study of BA (Hons) Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University.
Johnson especially keens on exploring menswear design and functional fabrics by combining
the bonding and laser cut technologies on classic wool fabrics to create unique and quality gentleman outfits in his final design collection.
He was the 1st Runner Up Award and the Best Menswear Award winner in the Graduation Fashion Show of the Hong Kong Design Institute 2018. He was also awarded the Woolmark Scholarship in 2017. He participated in different fashion design exhibitions, industrial collaboration projects and internship programs. He works with the well-known Hong Kong fashion designer Harrison Wong on a menswear project in 2018 and finally got the chance to showcase, exhibit and sell his collection in Harrison Wong Shop.
Meanwhile, he was nominated to participate in the Woolmark design project and joined the Subtraction Pattern Cutting Workshop by edgy UK fashion designer, Prof. Julian Roberts, lecturer of Royal College and Art of UK. Lastly, he was selected to join the Denim design project of Advance Denim for Denim Days, his menswear denim collection was being showcased in New York exhibition in October 2018.
Johnson於2018年香港知專設計學院畢業時裝秀獲得全埸亞軍獎和最佳男裝獎，2017年獲得了Woolmark獎學金。他曾參加不同類型時裝設計展，與業界合作的項目及實習經歷，例如2018年與著名香港時裝設計師Harrison Wong合作的男裝項目，最後其系列得以在尖沙咀K11購物中心的Harrison Wong Shop展示，展出和銷售系列。同時他亦被ADVANCE DENIM選中參加Denim Days牛仔布設計項目，其男裝牛仔系列於2018年10月在紐約展覽中展示。
The inspiration of this collection come from the office workers in rainy day. They have to carry a lot of items at the same time, such as office bag, briefcase, coat and umbrella, which is very embarrassing and inconvenient in the wet weather. This garment is designed to solve this problem.
