In 1988, Richard Li was crowned the Winner of the Non-Knitwear Group of Young Designer Show, which is the first person ever from the university level to win this. Richard continues to support the fashion industry by contributing his time and efforts to the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association as a long standing committee member. But then his acute design skills expand beyond just fashion. He also applied them in furniture and interior design project, and designed various chain store restaurants, luxurious service and private apartments.
