Venus recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion and Textiles from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she was the Overall Grand Winner of the graduation show.
Her design inspiration usually comes from daily observation, Japanese culture, and Zen aesthetics. She appreciates Japanese aesthetics not just for the visual aspects but also for the attitude towards design and everyday life. This appreciation leads to Japanese culture and designers influencing her design style. Concealing body shape cutting, experimental fabrics, and raw and unfinished handcrafted details are always applied to her designs to present imperfect aesthetics. Deconstruction is her preferred approach to design. It is playful, exploratory, and has endless possibilities that stimulate new concept ideas.
