SUCETTE

Pring Bunnag is an artist and entrepreneur. She founded Sucette, her luxury artisanal brand showcasing Thai savoir-faire with a contemporary twist in 2021 with a collection of sculptural shoes and created the SIN-Dress, a contemporary reinvention of the traditional silk sarong in 2022.

After studying art history and dance at University of California at Berkeley, Pring worked as a journalist for the Bangkok Post and other publications, in advertising and PR, before moving to Paris where she worked as a fashion designer for many French and international brands including Swarovski and Maje and founded her previous brand Pring Paris. She also won the Shoe Designer of the Year award from Paris Capitale de la Création, and was artistic director for many well known brands and projects (including the Singha Beer campaign and Vitamin Water).

“After years in Paris where I had a boutique for my former brand, I found myself back in Thailand almost by accident. After giving birth here during the pandemic, I found myself in deep reflection of my true values and desires.

I also rediscovered the beauty and wealth of local crafts and artristry, especially Thailand’s silk and textile traditions, and wanted to showcase it to the world. I decided to start Sucette because I wanted to build a brand that I can be proud of, as a gift to my son and family.

I knew that “made in Thailand” can be synonymous with sustainably crafted luxury and that I had a mission to transmit my heritage and our local savoir-faire to the world.”
